College Students Counseling / Therapy

As a college student you may often struggle with adjusting to the new environment, peer difficulties, and managing time between school work and pleasurable activities. Life on campus and being far away from the family may cause loneliness, isolation, and sadness that many times may be difficult to overcome on your own. College counseling is based on helping you to find ways of managing your stressors and daily life challenges, as well as, decreasing psychological distress that you may experience. It is usually action-oriented and solution -focused form of psychotherapy. It helps you to recognize the underlying reasons of your struggles, learn strategies to cope with stressors and difficulties, and provides you with the opportunity to be truly yourself and to express your feelings in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
