Karolina Lazarov, licensed therapist for women in Bryn Mawr PA, specializing in postpartum and anxiety

Meet Karolina

Helping Women in Bryn Mawr, PA Navigate Postpartum, Anxiety, Life Transitions & the In-Between of Two Cultures

I am so glad you are here and want me to be a part of your journey!

My passion for this work has always been within me. Becoming a mother myself showed me firsthand how incredible—and at times overwhelming, lonely and isolating—this journey can be. My personal experiences with feeling gaslight, minimized, and many times dismissed only deepened my desire to support women, moms, and moms-to-be, to feel truly seen, heard, and understood, especially when life feels heavy or uncertain.

I get that life can feel heavy. As women, we are juggling so much, trying to be everything for everyone, holding it together even when we are tired, unsure, or stretched thin. Between life changes, relationships, and motherhood, it’s a lot. And yet, so many of us go through it quietly, without the support we really need and deserve.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when it seems like everyone else has it all together. Maybe your days are packed with responsibilities, or you’re going through a season that’s just plain hard. Maybe you feel like you’ve lost touch with who you really are. I’m here for you—the real you, the one you don’t always feel safe showing the world.

Karolina Lazarov LPC, women's therapist on the Main Line Pennsylvania

I specialize in supporting women through postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, birth trauma, life transitions, and the kind of chronic overwhelm that’s hard to even put into words. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand you, your story, and what truly matters to you.

Together, we’ll make sense of what’s on your mind, explore your feelings, and find practical and realistic ways to help you feel more in control.

This is your space, where you’re seen, heard, and supported. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen!

My background

I’m Karolina Lazarov, M.S, M.A, LPC, LBS, PMH-C – a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania & Delaware, Licensed Behavior Consultant and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapist. I am the founder of Mainline Pro Counseling — a boutique therapy practice in Bryn Mawr, PA, serving women across the Main Line and throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware.

I was born and raised in Poland, where my fascination with the human mind led me to study Clinical Psychology at the University of Lodz. Early in my career I worked across youth counseling centers, the State Police, community mental health, and hospital settings — experiences that showed me just how many people were struggling in silence, without the support they deserved.

It was during my post-graduate fellowship at a County Public Hospital that something clicked for me. I became deeply immersed in perinatal mental health — the emotional world of pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood — and even contributed to research exploring the bond between mothers and their unborn children. I knew then that this was the work I was meant to do.

That passion brought me to Philadelphia, where I earned my second graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at LaSalle University and built on my training in CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength-Based approaches. Over the past 15 years I have worked with women navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, infertility, birth trauma, postpartum struggles, and the quiet grief that can come with major life changes.

I am a certified Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapist through Postpartum Support International — an organization I also volunteer with as a coordinator in Poland, because I believe every woman deserves access to this kind of support, no matter where she lives. I am also listed as a Motherfigure and PSI provider and belong to the Mahmee Network, a community dedicated to improving maternal and child healthcare access.

My work has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily Mail, Main Line Parent Community, marriage.com, and several Polish publications and podcasts — but honestly, what matters most to me is the woman sitting across from me in session, finally feeling like she doesn’t have to hold it all together alone.

I am fluent in Polish and have a deep connection to the Polish community here in Philadelphia and on the Main Line. If you’ve been looking for a therapist who truly understands your culture and language, I would love to connect.

I also know firsthand what it means to build a life far from home — to navigate a new country, a new system, and a new version of yourself while still carrying everything you came from. That lived experience is at the heart of my bicultural approach to therapy, where I support European women and moms who are finding their footing in America, often far from family, and sometimes feeling lost in translation even within their own homes.

I am a founder of an educational site: https://pogadankipoporodzie.pl spreading awareness about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in Poland.

Currently, I provide Teletherapy/Video sessions for clients residing in Pennsylvania & Delaware.
