Becoming a new mother may be overwhelming. You may be a pregnant woman worrying about the future, loosing sense of self, adjusting to the new demands; or a new mom feeling depressed or anxious as a result of hormonal imbalance, sleep deprivation, body-image struggles, marital difficulties, or every day stressors. In same cases, these feelings may go away after a while but in others, they may stay for a little longer disturbing your every day life and adding stress to already challenging period. 

Counseling for pregnant and new mothers is based on providing you with support that you may need and letting you to truly express yourself and your feelings in a non-judgmental and safe environment. It will help you to release the stress of every day life and will teach your strategies needed to overcome the experienced struggles and difficulties related to being a mother, wife, and a woman.

The most common mood and anxiety struggles during the perinatal period are: Baby Blues, Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety and Perinatal OCD.
